About the Museum
Connecting the Past Through the Present
The Greek Heritage Project/ Museum was established in 2001 at the Greek Community Centre of Victoria. The museum is dedicated to preserving the rich Greek history of Victoria and Vancouver Island through research and education. The museum is currently undertaking an extensive genealogy project documenting the people and history of our community dating back to the first Greek to reach the island, Juan De Fuca (John “Ioannis” Fokas) in the year 1592.
